Welcome to Lullaby Lane Nursery and thank you for taking time to visit!  My name is Susan and I am the artist behind all the Reborn babies you will see on this site.  You will see that each and every baby has a personality all its own and was created with extreme care, attention to every detail, and most importantly-with love!  I am a Charter Member of LLRG (Life Like Reborn Artists & OOAK Babies Guild), CRIB (Collectable Reborns Irresistable Babies) and I was most recently elected as a PROUD Elite Guild member!  I also participate with several other reborn doll forums-all of which allow me to continue to grow and to teach others in the beautiful art of reborning!

I am proud and very honored that my peers at LLRG have chosen me as the Featured Artist of the Month for October 2008 and the Rising Star for December 2007!  I have learned so very much about reborning from this wonderful group of ladies and am thankful to be associated with such a fine organization as LLRG!

THE ART OF REBORNING

Joyce Moreno of Sweet Dreams Baby Nursery, has described the art of reborning more eloquently than I ever could as "the art of creating a beautiful realistic illusion of a living, breathing baby.  It is another way of recapturing one of the sweetest roles we love to play in the circle of life.  Realism is the key factor of reborning...where each baby is brought to the edge of illusion where its hard to tell its not a real breathing baby." 

Recently, reborn baby dolls have been referred to as "fake babies".  To me this phrase is too harsh to describe one of the most beautiful artistic endevors I have ever worked at.  Yes, if done well, these dolls can fool the mind into thinking they are real babies-but the word "fake" to me, sounds like a cheap reproduction.  My babies are anything BUT cheap reproductions.  I invest close to 40 hours of my time on every baby I make-striving for the most beautiful, realistic reborn available.  Take a look at the babies on my website and I hope you will agree!
